Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour, and, on profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, we do now, in the presence of God and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another as one body in Christ.

We promise to follow the Christian way of life as revealed in the teachings and example of Jesus Christ, to the very best of our understanding and ability. To this end we would encourage the development of family and individual devotions and the religious education of our children.

We resolve, with God’s help, to become growing and useful members of this church, doing all within our power to promote the Christian spirit in our community and throughout the world.

We resolve to contribute cheerfully and regularly of our time, our talents, and our money to the support of the church and its world wide mission; to attend faithfully its services and to pray and labor for the spirituality and prosperity of the church.

We hold it to be the mission of the Church of Christ to go out as one of God’s servant people to proclaim His gospel to all mankind, laboring for the progress of knowledge, the promotion of justice, the reign of peace and the realization of human brotherhood.

We further resolve to walk together in Christian love and watchfulness, giving and receiving admonition with meekness and affection; to remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech; to be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation and

mindful of the rules of our Saviour, to secure it without delay. We moreover resolve that when we remove from this place we will, as soon as possible, unite with some other church, where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God‘s Word.

We pray for Divine guidance and help in this our earnest endeavor.
